Rhea Brennan is a seventeen year old poet based out of Houston, attending Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Art’s creative writing program. She loves second hand stores, analyzing anything from Pheobe Bridgers to films to prose, and finding new coffee shops to camp out at. Besides being a Houston Youth Poet Laureate finalist, she has founded the largest teen-led Texas youth literary magazine, Mockingbird & Wire, which aims at giving a platform to southern teens where their creative work is celebrated and taken seriously. She has been previously published multiple times at “The Weight Journal”, her highschool’s literary magazine’s “Octopus Ink” & “Eight”, and finally, “Cathartic Youth Literary Magazine”.
