Online Volunteers Wanted!

Mockingbird & Wire is looking for passionate, detail-minded volunteers to help read through submissions for our upcoming issue. This is a low-effort, unpaid opportunity ideal for anyone who enjoys reading teen voices and wants to support a youth-run literary magazine.

Editors are responsible for making sure submissions stay within the word limit, suit a young adult audience, and are free of grammar or spelling mistakes. They also offer thoughtful feedback to help contributors strengthen their work.

If you're selected through this application, you'll be asked to complete a short trial edit so we can get a sense of your style before officially adding you to the team.

At Mockingbird & Wire, we care deeply about creating a thoughtful, intentional space, not just for the artists we publish, but for the team that reads their work.
